Крайний срок, для которого прогноз действителен с заданной точностью. В некоторых работах этот термин трактуется иначе: как промежуток времени, на который рассчитывается прогноз. Для последней трактовки лучше применять термин «глубина прогнозирования». Так же как и в планировании, экономико-математическое моделирование, как правило, исходит из трех уровней Г.п.: долгосрочного, среднесрочного и краткосрочного, для каждого из которых строятся свои, специфические (по учитываемым экономическим явлениям и математическому аппарату) модели.
